We are writing this message as a direct appeal to the young people of Sunderland and specifically those that attend our provision.

The time has come for you to follow the strict instructions by government not to go out and socialise, we are sure you have built up trusting relationships with our staff and volunteers and we hope you trust us this time that we would not say this unless we meant it.

From the bottom of hearts please please please trust us on this, do not come out of your home unless you absolutely need to and in line with government guidelines.

We understand as adults this is bewildering to you, this is to us, we have never in all of our lifetimes seen anything like this, this is not a dress rehearsal, this is real and it will have a devastating impact for years to come, you have to do your bit to protect yourself but most importantly your loved ones, the people you rely upon when your not with us or at school.

Please heed this warning its in your hands, do the right thing, stay at home.

If you need any help or advice we are still here, you know how to contact us, use the technology you are all experts in.

We look forward to seeing you all when we are able to open our doors again for you, stay safe.

From the staff and volunteers of Youth Almighty Project

One of core aims is to provide a warm, safe and welcome environment to young people by providing Centre based Youth Work from a number of locations in Sunderland.

We also provide a vast range of services to the local community which includes everything from job seekers support, mental health crisis intervention, men's club, lunch and laughter clubs and community helper where our staff can support those within our community most in need.

We also operate a food bank, clothing bank which includes school uniforms and we are heavily involved in sports alongside our partners Streetgames, Silksworth Colliery Welfare Football Club which includes adult and junior teams, we also specialise in Tennis and are a nationally recognised centre of excellence for Tennis.

Our work in sports also includes our own 3G football pitch at one of our community facilities.  In total we have four of our own community building with access to others as part of our partnership work with local schools and other like minded community organisations, check out our link to find out more about our community buildings and spaces which are available for use.

We also operate targeted outreach youth work sessions around Sunderland, sending our Youth Workers out onto the streets to work with the young people within their own territory, this unique method of Youth Work uses a number of tools including our very own on/off road quad bikes and a specialist drone, working alongside the Police to assist to find missing persons or others in hard to reach places.
